Compare rego across every state

Describe one car once and see what registration would cost in all eight states and territories, cheapest first. It uses the same fees as each state’s calculator.

You register a car in the state where it is kept, so this is not about shopping for a cheaper state. It is for working out what a move would cost, what a car bought interstate will cost to put on the road, or how your state stacks up.

CTP insurance estimates

In New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT, CTP is bought separately from an insurer, so it is not in the rego fee. The other five states include it in their registration. Fair comparison needs a CTP price for these three, so the amounts below are examples. Replace them with your own quote, or enter 0 to leave CTP out.
