  • Stamp duty is the same for electric and petrol cars in WA. Neither a duty concession nor a road user charge was found on the official pages. The $3,500 WA electric car rebate has closed.
  • The licence fee is charged by weight, so a heavy electric car can cost more to register than a light petrol one. Insurance is a fixed premium and is held flat.
  • Insurance, tyres, depreciation and home charger installation are left out unless you add them under servicing or resale.
